Bronx/Taylor-Wilson — Technical Advantage
We were first to develop and patent a COMPuter Aided Setting System, the COMPASS System, to automatically compute the optimum roll settings and adjust the rolls to the proper position. This feature enables bar size changes to be accomplished in approximately two minutes. In addition, the COMPASS System incorporates a machine management system.
Applications: Cold Rolled Bars
• Centerless turned or drawn bars are straightened and polished to a high degree in one pass.
• Precision straightened from end to end.
Applications: Hot Rolled Bars
• As rolled bar ovality is rounded up and held to a constant diameter over the full length.
• Precision straightened from end to end.
• Scale removed and surface finish greatly improved.

All Bronx PBR type machines are equipped with “swing out” guide bar tables that provide:
